If you’re in possession of an iTunes gift card later this week, there’s good news: iOS and Mac app developers are offering deep discounts on some pretty great apps and games this week.

First, the folks at Realmac Software have teamed up with other developers to bring you “App Santa,” a big sale of productivity apps. Highlights include Scanner Pro for $0.99 (normally $6.99), Launch Center Pro for $1.99 (normally $4.99), PCalc for $6.99 (normally $9.99), and Calendars 5 for $2.99 (normally $6.99). And while things weigh pretty heavily in favor of iOS apps, there are a few good Mac apps on the list too, including Tweetbot for Mac for $6.99 (normally $9.99). There are more apps on the list, but these are some of the most interesting.

There are also more than a few games for sale; the folks at MacRumors have a good list of highlights. You can grab some older indie darlings like Bastion ($0.99, down from $4.99) or Don’t Starve: Pocket Edition ($2.99, down from $4.99), games from major publishers like Infinity Blade III ($0.99, down from $6.99) or Lara Croft GO ($1.99, down from $4.99), weird stuff like I am bread ($0.99, instead of $4.99), or old classics like Final Fantasy VI and VII ($7.99 and $10.99 respectively, instead of $15.99).

There’s no end date for most of these sales at this point, but Apple’s app review team usually starts around the holiday season; the iTunes Connect developer portal says developers won’t be able to submit apps or updates from Dec. 22 to Dec. 29, so you should be able to get these deals at least over the holiday weekend. The app discounts help make up for the absence of Apple’s old “12 Days of Gifts” promotion, which offered free apps and media for 12 days in the run-up to Christmas, but has not been running since 2013.
