PSA: Classic Bethesda titles available DRM-free on GOG

Bethesda Softworks is mining its library of good old games and starting today offering many of them without any digital protection on GOG.

Eleven Titles of the Venerable Demise, Earthquake, Falloutand Older roles series are now available on the service and are offered at a discount if you purchase them in bundles before September 2. Here are the details.

The older scrolls Bundle: 33% discount if bought together

  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind – Game of the Year Edition – $19.99
  • The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard – $5.99
  • The Elder Scrolls: Battlespire – $5.99

id Software First-person Shooters Bundle: 33% discount if bought together

  • Earthquake includes Mission Pack 1 and Mission Pack 2 – $9.99
  • The ultimate fate – $5.99
  • DOOM II of Last fate and “Master Levels for Doom II” – $9.99

Fallout bundle: 66% discount when bought together

  • Fallout – $9.99
  • Outage 2 – $9.99
  • Fallout Tactics – $9.99

Older roles Free: Added for free when you buy any Bethesda game from GOG (not available for individual purchase)

  • The Elder Scrolls: Arena
  • The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall

GOGs Demise, Earthquakeand Fallout titles now on GOG were already available in a DRM-free format via Steam, but this seems to be the first time that some of the Older roles titles are officially offered without any form of protection. GOG says this is also the first time Red Watch and Battlespire are offered for sale on a digital distribution service and all that Older roles titles are “updated for your modern computer”.

The Fallout titles were available on GOG until late 2013 when they were removed as the rights to those titles were transferred from Interplay to Bethesda.
