Our next look at new games for the Xbox Series X comes on July 23. That’s When Microsoft Holds Its Next Xbox Games Showcase, the company announced todaystreaming on multiple digital platforms from 9:00 am Pacific Time.

Unlike Microsoft’s promotional event in May, which focused on third-party launch titles for the upcoming console, the July 23 event is expected to discuss first-party exclusives from Microsoft’s own Xbox Game Studios. That probably includes new images of Halo InfiniteThat saw a new teaser trailer a few weeks ago.

“Xbox Series X is now in the hands of our 15 Xbox Game Studios teams and the biggest names from our network of game development and publishing studios worldwide, ensuring that Xbox Series X will power a new generation of blockbuster games such as Halo InfiniteMicrosoft said in a blog post last month.

That lineup of first-party studios now includes Psychonauts 2 developer Double Fine, which Microsoft acquired in June, and The outer worlds developer Obsidian Entertainment, which Microsoft acquired last November.

In February, Microsoft confirmed that all Xbox Game Studios titles will use Smart Delivery to “[ensure] you only need to buy a title once to play the best version available for any Xbox console [you] choose to continue playing.” In a January interview, head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty noted that this means Xbox Series X won’t feature any true “next-generation” exclusives during its first year or two of availability.
