A haunting teaser image for consumer Rift.

Ahead of its presence at E3 next week, Oculus is hosting its first-ever public press conference. Ars will be on hand on Thursday, June 11 at 10am PDT (1pm EDT, 6pm UK time) to blog the event live.

Even with raw hardware specs and a “Q1 2016” release window already set for the first consumer version of the Oculus Rift, there are still plenty of questions Oculus could answer at this event. A concrete price point is one, outside the $200 to $400 range discussed earlier (or $1,500 with a suitable PC). Oculus has also yet to discuss some sort of “official” VR control solution for the Rift, though the headset will work with a number of third-party motion controllers.

We also expect Oculus to talk about the Samsung Gear VR, launching as a full product later this year. Aside from that, Oculus could discuss some non-hardware plans through its Oculus Worlwide Studios game development department (headed by Naughty Dog veteran Jason Rubin) and its Oculus Story Studio movie department. Tune in to our live blog and join us in discovering what’s next for Oculus.
