Get ready, PS4 racers, because the world’s best-selling racing game franchise is finally ready to return to our consoles. Polyphony Digital and Sony announced this at a Thursday evening event in London Gran Turismo Sports comes out on November 15 on the PS4. And the companies have released some footage from the new game to whet our appetites.
The game has been coming for a long time, what with Gran Turismo6 will be released for the PS3 as early as December 2013. But Gran Turismo fans are probably used to long wait times now given the six long years in between GT4 and the fluff GT5.
The gameplay footage reveals quite a bit about the new game, which was built from the ground up to support PlayStation VR. There are lots of new photo locations and you can place multiple cars in that area. There is a livery editor, so complex custom paint schemes are now possible.
However, it’s not all gold. The footage reveals some rather dodgy-looking aliasing at times, as well as some somewhat odd-looking levitating physics moments. We sure hope these things get adjusted between now and November.
I think it’s about time to buy a PS4…
