Oculus’ Crescent Bay was one of the hotter demo booths at CES, and anyone who knows anything about gaming lined up to stick their face in one of the prototypes. Fortunately, we had our own private demo – and as the current owner of the Oculus Rift Development Kit 2, the Crescent Bay prototype/technical demonstrator was miles ahead of what anyone can currently buy.
This short video shows what happened during our private demo session and includes a bit of back and forth with the Oculus folks on Crescent Bay and VR in general. Unfortunate spoilers: They wouldn’t let me sneak Crescent Bay into my bag no matter how much I begged or threatened.
